Program Note
"I wanted to shoot the story of Paco and Nino in Brittany and in cinemascope. The idea behind this film had been in my mind for some years. Two young strangers, very different from each other, in their personalities but also in their relationships with women and love. Bringing out their differences was to me both meaningful and interesting. I wanted to make a road movie, made up of a series of encounters, in Brittany, following the path of their relationship in the framework of France at the present time." (Manuel Poirier)
Paco and Nino are travelling through Brittany in search of love. Paco is a Spaniard and a great ladies′ man. Nino is a pint-sized Russian immigrant who would very much like to attract the attentions of just one woman. It′s the story of their friendship and the people they meet along the way.
