The Chilean actress Paulina Garcia’s performance is amazing. In particular, in a latter scene where she desperately holds on to the indecisive man after her series of despairing disappointments, you will understand why Berlin awarded her the Silver Bear for Best Actress. By means of the woman’s mature sexuality and emotional baggage, this tragic quasi-romance deals with the fundamental loneliness of life and reaches the reflection on the existence of humans who are inevitably alone after all.
