Program Note
Losa spends her days casting nets in the lakes and catching fish. But, she is in charge of a more important task: monitoring illegal fishing and protecting the lakes. While patrolling the lakes one day, she catches two young women. They promise her that they would never catch fish but a trace of cooking is discovered by Losa. That day, the three women become friends. Then Losa introduces them to Kirsten, her lover. Losa and Kirsten and the other two girls are both lesbian couples. The four women have a great time at Kirsten’s house with the view of the lake. But then, one of the girls shows interest in Losa and it upsets the balance of the couple’s relationship. Losa’s life, which is always focused on order and balance, dwindles as well. The lake is like a tranquil and tolerant woman, but there are times when it is swept by gales according to the order of nature. (LEE Sang-yong)
