Program Note
It′s Sunday in Thessaloniki, and Alexander, a great author, is preparing to leave the house by the sea which has always been his home. He finds a letter in which his wife Anna speaks of a summer day some thirty years ago. From this point, Alexander embarks on a strange journey in which the past and the present are intertwined. He realizes that he has passed by the moments he wants to be reclaim for one day... for eternity.

Theo Angelopoulos
Considered one of the world′s greatest filmmakers, Angelopoulos was born in Athens in 1935. He studied at IDHEC, Paris and made his first film The Reconstitution in 1970.
