Finally Dawn evokes strong feelings of nostalgia for Rome in the 1950s, when American actors came to Cinecittà to a make films. Through the innocent gaze of the protagonist Mimosa, director Saverio Constanzo transports us back into the world of Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita (1960). Mimosa, who has come to Cinecittà to audition for a minor role, accepts an invitation to a party hosted by an American actors’ group. This leads to a series of encounters with various people. "It′s a film about the redemption of simple, naïve individuals, those who can still look at the world in wonder," says director Saverio Constanzo. With a star-studded cast including Lily James, Joe Keery, Willem Dafoe, and Alba Rohrwacher. Finally Dawn garnered attention even before its filming began and was selected for the competition section of the Venice Film Festival.
