Program Note
It has been raining for a long time in Buenos Aires and modern times are here at last. The city must now face changes and life in it is like experiencing a singular backward motion. In addition to its financial losses, an old independent playhouse is threatened with demolition. Torn between helplessness and their passions for the theater, the small group of actors decide to stand up and say "no."

Fernando Solanas
Fernando E. Solanas was born in Buenos Aires in 1936 where he studied law, theatre, and musical composition. In 1966 he joined the Cine Liberaction group and made films with Octavio Gettino.Currently based in Buenos Aires, he owns his production company in Paris.
