Born in Aichi, Japan in 1988. He started making animation while attending high school and majored in animation at Kyoto Seika University. With the short film, Fumiko′s Confession (2009), he gained public favor after receiving Ottawa International Animation Festival Student Division Special Prize in 2010. After that, he directed the shorts films such as Rain town (2011), Hinata no Aoshigure (2013), etc. Penguin Highway is his first feature-length for the theatrical animation film.
