Midnight, December 31, 1999, with the year 2000 fast approaching, a young man and a young woman come together on the roof of a building overlooking Copacabana beach. The man must murder his best friend to escape a life in jail and the woman wants to commit suicide after being jilted by the man she loved. Our two characters struggle against succumbing to the pre-established order, and on this night, they seek to invent a new life. Midnight depicts two opposing worlds, heaven and hell, construction and ruin, brought together on this date of convergence.
