When Gaza thinks of this dream, he can control his anger and share his true feelings with the refugees, but such innocent feelings are crushed in a split second as he finds he cannot break the shackles of crime and exploitation. Using the hidden side of a topical global issue, the Syrian refugee crisis, More urges viewers to reflect upon people’s encouragement of this terrible human tragedy. This directorial debut by seasoned Turkish actor Onur Saylak resonates by starkly contrasting a boy’s dream with the everyday struggles on the open sea, and the screams of refugees crammed in a dark warehouse, where it’s hard even to breathe.
