Mamoru OSHII
Born in Tokyo in 1951, he directed <Urusei Yatsura, Only You> (1983), its sequel <Urusei Yatsura 2, Beautiful Dreamer> (1984), <Kurenai Megane> (1986) and the <Patlabor> series (1988). Oshii′s distinct directorial style has helped awaken the world to the artistic possibilities of animated movies.
