Program Note
A law of thermodynamatics, entropy measures the degradation of the universe, its "progression from order to disorder." While energy produces new matter, it also causes by-products. For instance, coal heats homes, but leads to pollution. Using the law of entropy as a metaphor, spiritual and materialistic development is juxtaposed with the destruction inherent in this process.

Jang Woo-Jin
Born in 1965，and graduated from the Department of Economics at Sejong University. Afterwards he studied Communications and Multi-media at the Guildhall University in England from 1992 to 1994. In 1995，he worked as a 3-D Computer Graphic Artist at Telstar Electronic Studio. [ Entropy 2] made it to the final competition at the London Graphic Expo in November 1994， and was awarded a Special Prize for Computer Animation at the KBS Film Collection in 1995. It also won the 2nd Prize at the Bit Movie Competition in Italy， received a Special Prize for Imagina from the France Best 3D Art Work， and entered the final competition for Video Best 95.
