Young police officer Choi Munoh is overworked and lousily paid. So bad in fact that his girlfriend threatens to leave him if he doesn’t quit his risky job, but he decides to stay. The chief of police, who is the dedicated and warmhearted, is Choi’s role model and due to retire. What’s more, the chief’s daughter, against the wishes of her father, plans to marry a prosecutor. What do Choi Munoh and the chief do to confront these problems? As if straight from a police publicity film, Police Story explores the joys and sorrows of what it’s like to work on the police force, but it also possesses a solid narrative structure imbued with genuine sincerity.
