Program Note
Private Kang-Hun spends his last days before being released guarding the main gate. He sees Cheon Suk-Ho imprisoned, charged with destroying family life. Kanghun sees Cheon as a heinous villain until the day he drags Cheon to the bathroom to teach him a lesson. There, he learns Cheon is more an unevolved person, more so than a criminal. Later, Cheon is brought to trial, face broken to pieces. Outstanding Award in the 2nd Seoul short Film Festival in 1995.

KWAK Kyung-Taek
Born in 1966 in Pusan, Kwak Kyung-Taek was a former film student at New York University. He directed several short films including Oh, Boy!(1993). His 1995 short film A Story of a Military Prison won the Best Film award at Seoul Short Film Festival, and was invited to Clermont-Ferrand. He made his feature debut with [3 p.m. Paradise] in 1997. In1999 he made his second feature Dr.K. But his first big break came with [Friend]which was one of the biggest hits in Korean Film History.
