With a storyline that seems plucked from a history book, this film received raved reviews and was one of the most popular films in Thailand, giving pride to the Thai people who were experiencing political and economic problems. This film depicts an ancient historical subject coupled with majestic spectacle. Some people might question whether Thailand has the talent to produce a film of this majestic caliber but many people will change their minds when they see this film themselves. Like the brilliant storyline, the battle scenes in the film are more than majestic, as well as realistic, and are on a par with Hollywood blockbusters. The film doesn′t have the unique storyline and aesthetics that can be found in the most Thai films, but it is a sure winner. (Michelle Sohn)
