Program Note
[Bishonen] is a beautiful love letter dedicated to a tragic love where accidental encounters and fateful farewells all entangle. Jet sells himself to strangers, longing for a true love. He runs into a cop, Sam, and the two soon become friends. Four men, in turn, meet, part, love and betray engraving in their heart the thrill, eagerness, pain and the loneliness of love. While Brigitte Lin’s calm and beautiful voice narrates the film like music, the screen is sorrowfully embroidered with the picturesque images of the beautiful actors. (CHO Young-jung)
