Upon returning home, Adam finds his father killed. No one knows what happened. There is no evidence; there are no witnesses. Before long, his mother remarries her brother-in-law,?igo, a loan shark and thief. Adam goes out with Julka, and spendseasefultimes. One day, while arguing with his stepfather, Adam discovers the secret behind his father′s death. His mother gives birth to his younger sister. This film is about the lives and their toughness interwoven amongst the characters, predominantly a young boy, Adam in a gypsy village. They, due to the instable circumstances surrounding their lives, maintain their daily lives by following conflicting impulses. Nonetheless, they are in the middle of nowhere. Which shows that they are human beings destined towander around indefinitely. Through his growth, Adam realises the world’s violent and contradictory nature, and that is his maturation in the gypsy world. (LEE Sang-yong)
