Program Note
Constantinople, 1910. Too many stray dogs in the streets. The new government, influenced by an occidental model of society, calls in specialists to get rid of the dogs, before deciding, finally, to deport 30,000 of them on a desert island, off the coast of the city. The viewer follows the forced exile

Serge AVÉDIKIAN
Serge Avédikian is an actor and director of Armenian origin. He was born in Arménie Soviet. He first studied at the conservatory of dramatic art to become a theater actor. In 1978 his theatre company began making films, while he also continued to work as a stage actor.
