Program Note
What does it mean to be a Kurdish? At a pro-Kurdish camp in Germany, two boys struggle to support their family at home while battle for the survival as an outsider. However, in their daily struggle includes the battle with Kurdish organization that forces them to sacrifice for the greater cause. The racial dispute and retaliation happened in Kurdistan is still continued in the foreign land of Europe. The boys are thirst for the reconciliation and peace through the forgiveness and understanding but the reality does not easily allow them. Through the cruel experience of the boys, it is the merciless presentation of self-reflection as Kurd. (CHO Young-jung)
