Young police officer Shane Cooper relocates to the small country town of Red Hill with his pregnant wife Alice to start a family. Red Hill is a modern-day western played out against the extraordinary landscapes of high-country Australia. The mood of the beginning is quiet and peaceful, but soon you will have a bad feeling that something’s going to happen. And as the tension builds up, you won’t be able to take your eyes off the screen. Then it hits you in the head with an unexpected ending. The way the story is told is almost flawless.
