Program Note
David loves his family. That’s why he’s accepted a new job: he is to liquidate a company and dismiss the entire workforce. But the empty office leads a life of its own, a former employee won’t leave him in peace. When David goes to her place to confront her, he discovers her dead body. She has committed suicide. And from now on his life becomes a nightmare: the dead woman seems to be pursuing him. The Last Employee is a psychological thriller with a twist. The film has a strange power over the audience, but the audience doesn’t realize it. When the director Alexander Adolf conjures the magical power out, its impact is huge. This is the kind of film that will last long in your memory. (PAK Dosin)

Director
Alexander ADOLPH
Alexander Adolph directed the feature length documentary [The Impostors] (2007) which attracted attention during the Munich Film Festival, in where four criminals speak about their crimes in front of the camera. The film itself abstained from any moral or evaluative gestures. His first feature was the tragicomedy [I′ve Never Been Happier](2009).
