Program Note
Young Julia suffers from a degenerative sight disease. When her twin sister Sara, already blind thanks to the same disease, is found hanged, Julia refuses to accept that she committed suicide and decides to investigate what she intuitively feels was a murder. On discovering that her twin had been seeing a mysterious young man whose face no one can remember, Julia’s suspicions are confirmed. I love Spanish genre films, and I know I am not the only one. Julia’s Eyes shows why Spanish commercial films are very popular and successful. The storyline is robust and plausible, and the direction is stable and unique. And lastly, the acting is superb. I am sure Julia’s Eyes will give the audience another Spanish pleasure. (PAK Dosin)
