When 7-year-old Sophie can’t find a way to escape the suffocating glare of her single mother and brothers, she retreats into a fantasy world that gives her the space she desires. After two failures and with her goldfish in tow, Sophie escapes into the closet one night, and into her most elaborate fantasy yet.

KIM Han Sung
Han Sung Kim hails from Seoul, Korea, and studied business at Dongguk University before turning to filmmaking. He collaborated on several documentaries for television before attending California State University. He has also worked in commercials and on short films, including [New Iron Age], [Elevator], [Tap Water], and [Tunnel]. [My Room] is his first film as director.
