Program Note
Working at a club and restaurant, Nana dreams of saving money and starting her own business. Niko, a policeman, approaches Nana, who is exhausted by the owner’s abuse and the problems with her coworkers. Gradually, the two develop a relationship that does not look romantic at all. Then, a girl living on the streets steps into Nana’s life, causing a small crack in her bland life. The girl does not even have her birth certificate, but dreams of leaving one day for a world whiter than salt. Made with a limited budget, this film presents a high degree of perfection and sharp criticism toward Georgian society. (KIM Young-woo)
