Eva is the spoiled young woman at the center of Johan Kling’s black comedy of morality. In modern Stockholm, the affluent Eva’s biggest concerns on any given day are where her next expensive vacation is going to be; she holds down a job to avoid boredom. A chance sexual encounter with another man drives an irreparable wedge between Eva and her boyfriend, and shortly afterwards her mother ? and primary source of income ? moves away. Eva is forced, for the first time in her life, to support herself both financially and emotionally. But then Eva meets Bernard, in his 50s and newly seeking work, and the two strike up an eye-opening friendship that provides a stark look at reality for Eva.
