If you ever see the back of a man at a gas station and feel that you know him, just pass him by. Chances are, if you were to say anything to the man, that man will invite you into a world of hell. Eddie, in his thirties, and Maria, who is 25 years old, start a new life near an isolated lake in Scandinavia. Eddie leaves for the town to get a gift for Maria’s birthday, and encounters Kullman, his ex-colleague, at a gas station. Kullman joins the two at their place, and starts to cause trouble. He then suggests Eddie commit a crime with him for the very last time. Dragonflies portrays the psychology of the three persons, as the couple copes with an intruder in their home. Although the theme that darkness and secrets lie within a quiet suburban setting is a familiar one, the film ends with the couple finding love and truth. A low-budget film made in only three weeks.
