As a 20-year-old college student who just entered adulthood, Gadi spends each day in gloom. Due to the memory of having been betrayed by her friend and boyfriend, she lives life without much will. She becomes a loner who doesn′t open her heart up and is pointed at for having a peculiar personality by her classmates. Even so, she is sincerely loved by Randu who is the most popular guy in school for his good looks. But his only concern is to get a hold of Gadi′s heart. Despite Randu′s effort to win her heart, Gadi, one day hits a girl around her age named Rudi with her car and this marks the beginning of their friendship. About Her is Indonesian director Rudi Soedjarwo′s fourth feature film. The film softly portrays the gradual process of transformation of a young sensitive woman in her 20s, to whom even the most minute things are more important than the expansion of the universe. The film doesn′t have any major dramatic events but its point of merit is in its not so exaggerated viewpoint. The film resembles the unskilled, yet unpolluted heart of the generation portrayed in it. (Kim Young-jin)
