What is not widely known to the public in the modern history of India is the ongoing fight of a communist group called “Naxalite”. By portraying the life of a family involved in this fight in a calm and static rhythm, the directors show how capitalism and imperialism have wounded Indian society and why the wounds linger to this day. After watching the cruel reality of the protagonists, who are unable to send their children to school due to blatant discrimination policy, reminiscing their past with shoulders curved, and still saying with a prudence that the world has to change, the audiences are left with uneasy matters to contemplate.
