Program Note
In the high mountains of Tibet, there are village people living in accordance with conservative traditional values. Going to the sacred mountain to pray is allowed only for men, and it is difficult for women to live independent lives. In this environment, a girl born as the daughter of a single mother, Gera, is unfairly treated by the villagers since her birth. Even among the local women, she is called an evil child, and is not allowed to hang out with other children. However, Gera is more confident than anyone else, and struggles to shape her own fate fighting for the freedom only men enjoy. She also tries to convince her mother to lead a life in financial independence rather than depending on the kindness of men around her. Wind is the story of an outstanding young lady who faces all kinds of discrimination, but changes the world little by little. (PARK Sungho)
