An aspiring director Munkyung meets film critic Jungshik for rice wine before moving to Canada. They realize they’ve both just recently been to Tongyeong, so they share the stories while drinking. The two do not realize however that they both met the same people on their trip. As the story deepens the memories and pleasures at Tongyeong brims over. The film [Hahaha] cast all the actors and actresses who worked with director Hong Sangsoo on his previous films making it an all star show. It also presents director Hong’s world view as it has been revealed since [Virgin Stripped Bare By Her Bachelors](2000); speaking differently about the same event or person in the film. His film still has whiny males and honest females but his work has evolved little by little, presenting the romance and memories of Tongyeong through his witty humor. (LEE Sang-yong)
