Everyday, people travel back and forth between India and Bangladesh, searching for work?some smuggling drugs while dodging the military police. Fourteen-yea-old Lubel must find work to support his unemployed parents, his younger sibling and an older sister on the verge of being divorced because she did not have a dowry. But who will give a young boy like Rubel a job? The film follows the lives of the inhabitants whose island is disappearing before their very eyes.
