Korean Cinema Today: 12 World Premieres
Discovering Original Korean Independent Films A Platform for Promising New Directors |
Korean Cinema Today – Vision is a section that showcases exceptional artistic Korean independent films by emerging directors. After being screened as the world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, selections have historically received significant attention in the domestic and international film industries, primarily through official releases in Korea or invitations to prestigious international film festivals.
This year’s Korean Cinema Today – Vision is notable for selecting outstanding new works by talented directors discovered through the Busan International Film Festival in previous years and also featuring debut works of emerging directors entering the festival for the first time. As the Korean Cinema Today – Vision section continues to build a Korean independent film industry tradition, it highlights the growing significance as the stage for discovering new talent. |
