Hakan and Nihal live in Istanbul and have been married for many years. As time passes, Nihal begins to yearn for a child but fails to become pregnant. The various fertility treatments she receives are ineffective. The tides of change seem to have been awaiting one particular day: the day Nihal learns she will never have a baby. Hakan spots Nihal as he is having a business lunch with his colleagues. He jumps up from the table and begins pursuing her until he sees Nihal entering an apartment building with a strange man. The man and Nihal appear to be on intimate terms. Hakan goes home and waits for his wife. However, she never arrives.His search for his wife finally leads him to the dismembered body of Nihal. Everyone involved in the story of Hakan and Nihal seems to have blood on their hands.
Ali AYDıN is a Turkish director and scriptwriter, born in Istanbul in 1981. He graduated in Art Management at the Yildiz Technical University and worked as an assistant director in several films and TV series. He wrote and directed his debut feature film KÜF / MOLD in 2012. KÜF won the ”Lion of the Future” award in 69th Venice Film Festival.
