The Vietnamese remake of the Korean film My Annoying Brother (2016) was directed by young Vietnamese director VU Ngoc Phuong based on the original scenario by YU Young-a who also wrote another blockbuster Miracle in Cell No.7. Unlike the national pride Yudo athlete younger brother, the elder brother is a natural born troublemaker. As the younger one accidentally lost his sight during a match, the older one asks for bailing to become his guardian. The obvious hidden intention is, of course, to sell the properties to take money. A neighbor notices the evil plan and tries to protect the younger one with his team manager, but he is deeply depressed with fears from invisibility, unhappy childhood memories, and now being left without loving parents. In the meantime, the elder brother steals his brother’s credit card to enjoy some entertainment. Although the two brothers are more like enemies to each other, they eventually find reconcile that is depicted in either a humorous or touching way. (PARK Sungho)
