This is a film of four parts: “Chapter 1: Love” sees an old man in a psychiatric hospital brandishes a knife and chases a terrified cleaner. He then explains it was a joke and gives the knife to her, telling her to chase him. These events are then revealed to be scenes in a film when a lighting man walks off the film set, complaining that the movie should not be shot that way. In “Chapter 2: Film,” various places—including some from the previous chapter—are shot on rough film. “Chapter 3: Them” involves scenes where actors Park Haeil, Moon Sori, Ahn Sung-ki and Han Ye-ri, who appeared in chapter one, without sound. In this chapter, completely different lines from the original films they had acted are only shown as subtitles. The last chapter entitled “Love again” shows the places and the lines that appeared in chapter one, but this time without actors. An experimental film in which the director deconstructs and reassembles the various theatrical ingredients including time, space, the actors, and visual and audio elements. (NAM Dong-chul)
