Program Note
When their life in Moscow hits rock bottom, a man and his 11-year old son set off for a 1000-km journey to the sea. For Father, the journey is an attempt to restore self-respect and win back the trust of his son. For the boy, the goal of the journey is to reach the seaside town of Koktebel, where daredevil air-gliders fly in the ever-blowing wind. But in the middle of their long journey, the man′s chance to be loved by a woman once more threatens to interrupt their progress. A new home and the welcoming embrace of a woman he thinks his love, divides father and son, and the young boy realizing that his dreams are different from his father′s sets off to complete the journey on his own.

Born in 1972. Graduated from Psychology Department of Moscow State University. As a writer and director, he collaborated with Boris Khlebnikov and made Documentary, Mimokhod, in 1997 and short film, Tricky Frog in 2000
