It′s nearly Christmas at Oslo′s Sollihogda psychiatric hospital. Inmate Reidar expects a meteor to hit him in the head. He wants to save the world from disaster, but most of all he wants to rescue the beautiful but suicidal Juni. Juni, however, isn′t so sure she wants to be saved. If anyone gets too close, she strikes out. But Reidar refuses to give up hope. Maybe a punch on the nose is also a token of love?Surrounding this impaired pair are a colorful bunch with problems of their own. The hospital′s chief psychiatrist is impotent and always on the verge of tears. His social worker wife is cuckolding him with a virile taxi driver of questionable morals. Reidar′s senile mother is in search of herself, and a Burmese refugee is desperately seeking a residency permit. Throw in a gas station without insurance and the world′s best fireworks display and things are certain to end with a bang.
