The psychiatry department has just admitted a young lady who refuses to speak and whose identity remains unknown. Young Dr Cora becomes fond of her anonymous patient and establishes an usual and intimate relationship which goes far beyond the usual course of treatment. However the strange and strong bond that develops between the two women is abruptly severed when the patient′s identity is revealed and she is sent back home to her real life in Iceland. When this development in her patient′s recovery is revealed to Dr Cora she is deeply moved by the revelation. Feeling a profound sense of loss herself, the medical practitioner decides to forego the standard ethics of medicine pursue her mystery patient in order to complete the treatment.
