Program Note
Natasha Arthy′s second feature film bears the Dogma imprint, but is less stringent in the application of "the house rules". A comedy with dark undertones, Old, New, Borrowed and Blue, tells the story of Katrine who is about to be married. Her fiance is gorgeous, their apartment is luxurious and her future in-laws are wealthy. Katrine only has one problem: she is frightened that if her sister who resides in a psychiatric clinic finds out about the wedding she′ll ruin everything. On top of that her old friend Thomsen who has just flown in unannounced from Keny a is determined to assist in the wedding preparations in order to repay an old favour. The effort required to keep her sister and her in-laws in the dark and her interfering friend at bay, while ensuring that her marriage goes ahead leads both to hilarity and compromising confrontations. But Katrine doesn′t have too much time to worry about the details of her matrimonial imbroglio because tomorrow is her wedding day.
