Program Note
Singer Hahn Dae-Soo, who with his song ′Give Me Water′ sang about freedom, is a legendary artist who first introduced folk music to Korea. Due to political reasons, he had to leave the country and did not work as a musician for nearly 20 years. Hahn Dae-Soo returned to Korea on May 2001 for a concert, and this film is about his short stay. As can be heard on his 7th solo album, ′Age of Reason, Age of Treason′, and his 8th, ′Eternal Sorrow′, he sings about freedom, dreams, and his desire for a better life. Using his music as the background, the documentary shows his life and loneliness as a bohemian. Although his plans for a new album do not materialize, Hahn Dae-Soo exclaims that "Life is fragile, and I am just glad to be alive". (Kim Seong-Uk)
