Program Note
A boy who dreams of being a dancer wants to quit school. A girl hangs around a TV station in hopes of meeting her idol. Using a handheld camera and naturalistic acting, a two unconventional teenagers are sensitively depicted. Filmed alternately in color and black-and-white, and making imaginative use of slow-mo techniques, this film captures inner worlds as the two swing from enthusiasm and inspiration to anxiety and frustration.
