This documentary takes place in Belarush, In the area adjacent to where the Chernobyl disaster took place. Under lush natural conditions, the simple villagers grow potato and grain in their fields, in the ground that has been contaminated by the nuclear accident. The village is in a restricted zone into where outsiders cant′t enter. Only seven families remain in this village where 300 households used to live peacefully. The remaining villagers fiercely defend their homeland and refuse to leave. The seasons come and go, and Najia, a girl of eight years old, lives her life full of light and flowers as generations before her did.
