This is the first film Chung made with the Shaw Brothers. It was the first Hong Kong film to be exported to Europe and the success of the film provided a firm ground for Chung to continue working in Hong Kong. He included some of his own modern style action into the traditional heroic action based films of the Shaw Brothers. In this movie, rather than the men, it is the women who are at the center of the action and this was quite rare in those times. As the title indicates, the bad "witch" who can change into thousand different faces is causing turmoil and a woman reporter goes after her. The psychedelic atmosphere of the late 60s is included in this film, and as a modern action film using gaudy colors and liberal music, the actresses′ sexual appeal and wire combat give the audience a view of some risky stunt work.
