This is the story of an independent film director′s struggles in trying to get his film screened for the public. It′s a black comedy revealing the shadow world beneath Bollywood where almost 1000 films are made every year and some of the stars and films are adored as nationwide heroes, but other independent films have no chance of ever seeing a cinema. Although it was difficult, Mithalesh completes his first film but finds he′s unable to have the film screened because he can′t find distributors or theaters. His optimistic friend Raja plans to show it by holding a small film festival in their hometown, though many obstacles remain. They get the film screened in spite of the ancient film projector, the weak electric power, and the owner of the sponsor company only interested in any and all benefits. The single biggest problem, however, is that no one in town understands his film. Director Biju Viswanath is actually talking about his own dilemma while making films through his description of Mithalesh. What is the meaning of the film when it is estranged from the public? Like Mithalesh - who becomes a horror film director in Mumbai by the end credit sequence - Viswanath dreams of change. (Kim Ji-seok)
