Official Poster

For the poster for the 6th Pusan International Film Festival, an ink wash painting that is the truest to Asian and Korean beauty was selected. This ink painting is by Namcheon SONG SooNam, who is actively creating works based on the relationship between nature and humans, also known as Cheoninhapil (天人合一: the sky and the people are combined as one). The swift brushstrokes and composition expresses the energy of the Pusan International Film Festival that goes beyond Asia to the world, along with strong and powerful vitality. Furthermore, the blank space that is stained with ink through gradation expresses a natural sense of beauty. The image of the straight line and the circle, which is unified through a combination of the brush (筆) and the ink (墨), is based on the logic of Cheonjiin (天地人: the sky, the earth, and the man) in order to materialize the cosmic principle of the circular sky (天圓), the flat earth (地平), and the man standing (人立). Further, the circular shape indicates the lens of the camera, while the square edges symbolize the film frame.
